214 - Haystacks

On Monday, I posted this month's Scraplift Challenge, to take inspiration from my page 'Testing, Testing', a layout with a single photo and a hand-stitched circle.

I said previously that I chose this page as I wanted something suitable for a particular photo, and today I'm sharing my new page from my own challenge.

The paper layers vary a bit from last time, but on the whole it's a very similar page. It still has a single photo and the stitched circle, but I've pushed them to the left a little and moved my title and journalling to the right. I've dropped the flair badge, but I've kept the trio of brads, and I've added a few word stickers. I've also stamped on the relatively plain background, but it's not really showing up in the main photo.

The photo is my husband at the summit of Haystacks as he completed his round of Wainwrights - climbing the 214 Lake District fells described by Alfred Wainwright in his seven volume Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells. It took him numerous trips and nearly ten years as we live 300 miles away, but now he's finished, though he still has other projects on the go. (He blogs at hillplodder.com if you'd like to read more.)
