A Year in Normandie

This page will follow directly after my Escher page (as we visited the two exhibitions on the same day) so I've used some of the same papers and lettering, and the same overall colour palette, though the lighter background makes a big difference.

A Year in Normandie is made up of 220 iPad drawings which capture the changing seasons, and fit together to form a 90m long frieze which was displayed in the Serpentine Gallery this summer. I picked out eight photos of my favourite paintings, double-matted them along with blocks for my title and journalling, and then butted them all together in a grid, in a similar way to how the individual paintings were joined together to form the frieze.

Supplies: Paper - DCWV Romantic Life, Crate Paper Random, Sandylion Orange Dots, Basic Grey Perhaps, Simple Stories Summer Snapshots,  4heures37 Eiffel Avenue; Letters - Crate Paper, Jenni Bowlin; Washi Tape - Unknown; Puffy Stars - Rosie's Studio
